Profile

Essex Chambers of Commerce are the county’s leading business organisation providing a wide range of support to businesses ranging from sme’s to multi-national companies, with offices in Colchester, Southend on Sea and Thurrock. We provide a full documentation service for exporters through our Colchester and Southend offices as well as providing training and information on access to new markets, as well as running a range of networking events across the county and undertake lobbying and representation on behalf of our members at all levels of government. In 2014 we shall be launching an International Trade Forum to bring together exporters, MPs, and trade missions from across the globe.

Services for Exporters

We have a fully qualified, dedicated team able to assist with processing export documentation, based in our offices in Southend on Sea and Colchester. Alongside the EC certification, EUR1’s and ATR’s, we are also agents for the Arab British and Egyptian British Chambers.  Notorisation and Foreign Office Apostille are also available.

A comprehensive Export seminar programme is offered to companies which runs throughout the year and is designed to train companies in most aspects of International Trade.

Export awareness and Country focused events regularly appear in our events calendar, which we run in conjunction with outside organisation such as UKTI, DHL or a variety of sponsors. A wealth of expert advice can we gleaned at these events so they are not to be missed.

We have a quarterly on-line International Trade Magazine called i-leader which provides companies with successful news stories of Essex exporters, webinars, outside training, opportunities overseas and Country profiles.

Being an Associate Member of COBCOE allows us to tap into the network of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe. The contacts we have allows us to assist our members in these countries with various enquires.  Together with the Export Britain website this now allows us to stretch out further to British Chambers Worldwide expanding the Chamber Network and the wealth of information available.

In 2014 we shall be launching an International Trade Forum to bring together exporters and MP’s. We will also be expanding on the services we offer our export members.

We are here ultimately to help Essex exports grow and succeed and are here to help this happen through advice, guidance and lobbying.
